bothered

On the technological vanity front, my mobile phone will soon be replaced. It was a replacement for the previous one lost (I make sure I have deep pockets since that day, or pop the phone in the 'bag.) It was old, it's been replaced with another more advancedgadgety phone that slides open and have a bigger address book capacity, but because the later met a lovely slab of concrete its screen went berserk and I went back to the phone I picked out without thinking.

So why am I replacing it? A few days ago my dad called, asking me to turn on Skype, which comes free with my mobile network and therefore stays in my phone, I like Skype on phone, it's nice to talk to people on the go instead of being chained to a computer. But nooo, the app's too outdated, I needed to upgrade so I duly did. Skype upgrader says my phone is too old for the app upgrade.
After an hour to-ing and fro-ing, the choice boils down to two smart phones. I need Skype on it. I like a good camera and good display, and I want swipy gestures, so it's either this or that or its younger sister. Although one will mean I'm on the brand loyalty path (not my thing), and the other is like joining a Bluetooth-less cult (not my thing too.) Blackberries are strictly uninvited.

Oh man, I miss the days when mobiles were for voice-calling and texting and not much else.

John, I might sell my soul earlier than that though.

Although a black button on a largely white i**** will not look as grotty as as a white button... hmmm.
