£1888 is...

An amount of spare money I wish would appear on the 'credit' side of my bank balance. With a counter-entry of 'miracle' or 'overdue windfall'.

Also thinking about the three garment patterns that need to be made from scratch, five garments to cut out, some fusible interfacing to fuse (or can I ask someone else to do it for me?), five buttonholes to buttonhole, colour picking and a myriad of other things that I may have missed. All to be done before 8AM Sunday, and about half of them need to be ready by 3PM Saturday. And then, finding a fit model, taking decent pictures of said clothes and sending them before 2PM Monday. Such is the life of a self-employed.

Anyway, having said that, I'd like to sleep.
(To get ready for tomorrow. It'll be a long day weekend.)
Maybe if I go to sleep, a small army of pattern-cutters, sewing machinists and studio assistants will materialise like minions and leprechauns. Oh how I long for leprechauns (not very long, but sometimes overflowing work makes it pretty deep.) Or Schengen visas. Or EU passports.

I think it's time for bed. Good night/morning.

yes yes, I did coerce some of the magic number out of somewhere...

...and it'd be great to catch up with you when you come round in December! hope immigration won't be too much of a bother. is the big durian on your list of places to visit?

I'll explain what the magic number is for over coffee/tea/something suitably conversation inducing :D
